Accessibility Statement
Accessibility Statement
Last updated: August 3, 2026
Prescott Bio Canada is committed to making its website accessible to the widest possible audience, including people with disabilities. This statement describes what we’re doing today, what we’re still working on, and how you can tell us when something isn’t working.
Our commitment
We aim to meet Web Content Accessibility Guidelines (WCAG) 2.1, Level AA, the standard recognized by the Accessibility for Ontarians with Disabilities Act (AODA), the Accessible Canada Act, and comparable provincial legislation. This is an ongoing effort — the Site is under active development and accessibility is a continuous priority, not a one-time audit.
Current state
The Site includes the following accessibility features:
- Keyboard navigation — all interactive elements (links, buttons, form fields, cart controls, product tabs) are reachable and operable using only a keyboard. A skip-to-content link appears as the first focusable element on every page.
- Screen-reader support — semantic HTML landmarks (nav, main, footer, aside), ARIA labels on icon-only buttons, and descriptive link text. Product images include alt text; decorative images are marked
aria-hidden. - Color and contrast — body text targets at least 4.5:1 contrast against its background; large text and non-text elements target at least 3:1. Color is never the sole means of conveying meaning.
- Focus indicators — visible focus outlines on all interactive elements. We do not remove default focus styles without providing a replacement.
- Zoom and text size — the layout reflows cleanly at 200% browser zoom without loss of content or functionality.
- Reduced motion — animations and transitions respect the
prefers-reduced-motionmedia query. - Forms — every form control has a visible label; error messages are announced to assistive technology and are not conveyed by color alone.
Known limitations
We’re honest about where we fall short. As of the last updated date above, we’re aware of the following:
- Some third-party embedded content (payment processor iframes, analytics tools) is outside our direct control; their accessibility depends on the vendor.
- Older blog posts and product images may lack detailed alt text; we’re auditing and back-filling.
- The certificate-of-analysis PDFs on the
/coapages are provided in their source format from the third-party lab; a fully tagged accessible PDF version can be requested via the address below.
If you find a barrier we haven’t listed, please tell us — we treat it as a bug and fix it.
Alternate formats on request
If any content on the Site is not accessible in the format provided, we will supply it in an alternate format at no charge. This includes:
- Certificates of analysis as a tagged/accessible PDF or plain-text summary.
- Product pages or invoices in large print, plain text, or emailed narrative.
- Any other content on request.
